BBQ Chicken Review...

Hey, peeps! xD

So sorry I could not update as much as I used to! Being in The One Academy really fill in my free time.

Anyway, this review focuses on BBQ Chicken, which is a Korean Chicken Restaurant. BBQ does not stand for barbecue, like what most would call it. BBQ stands for "Best of the Best Quality."

Cooked in olive oil, in contrast to KFC's 11 herbs and spices concept, it really gives a different texture and taste of what we used to taste in conventional fried chicken (And yes, KFC, to me, is considered conventional). And, in my honest opinion, it is really healthy! xD

I will provide an update on this one as I forgot what the taste is like..Ahahahaha! So sorry about that..My memory is kinda limited these days! ><

Expect the update to be as detailed as possible! xDDD

Quadruple Movie Review

I would like to apologize for not being able to update as often as most would have expect me to be. I do not have the passion to update last time. Now, I'll update as I do not wish to delay any longer than I was supposed to be. So, I shall give a short (I mean very short) review regarding each movie.

There are 4 movies I have not updated (hence the title "Quadruple Movie Review"), which are Land of the Lost, Obsessed, Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince and Up

Land of the Lost is pure comedy, which stars Will Ferrell based on a film of the same name. It is silly, which is highly recommended for those who had a bad day and needed a movie that is wacky and humorous.

Obsessed is a movie which stars Beyonce Knowles, Idris Elba and Ali Larter. It is a thriller which talks about a couple who moves into a new house. As the guy is an important figure in a company, a temp seems to take his friendliness the wrong way, to the point of obsession. I was on the edge of my seat when I watched the movie. Loads of drama, which is something to look at if you're not fussy about movies.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was surprising dissapointing. Despite the fact that this blogger is a huge fan of the literature of the same name, the box office version failed to capture the esscense of the book. They even mixed up the whole plot and storyline, making it confusing and messy. No words can express my dissapointment. But, the actors did their best, so I have to give some credit! =)

Last but not least, Up. Now, normally there isn't much movie that made me emotional. Up is one of the movie that is so touching and funny, I was looking forward to watching it. Disney/Pixar did not dissapoint as this movie is a pleasant one with action, humour and a little romance in the air. Recommended for everyone, no matter how old you are! =D

Now, the whole summary's done, let's look at the ratings:-

Land of the Lost: 3.5/5
Obsessed: 4/5
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: 2/5
Up: 5/5

The summary says it all..This blogger needs to get to college tomorrow..Good night and stay tuned..

Ice Age 3 Movie Review

Ice Age 3..Been waiting for this movie (Apart from a few other movies I wanted to see) to be released in the big screens.

This movie is kind of stupid and filled with comedy all around. Then again, that is the point of the Ice Age trilogy. Comedy at it's best.

The story is about an unusual herd, which consists of 2 mammoths, 2 possums, a sloth, a sabretooth tiger. The 2 mammoths are expecting a baby and the sloth felt lonely. But, when he fell into a frozen underground, he found 3 eggs, which is not his, obviously. When the mother came for her baby, the sloth was taken as well. So the adventures of finding their friend in a land infested with dinosaurs begins.

Every single character was so funny, it's hard for me to decide which is my favourite character. I like the part where they are suspended in the dino's skeleton ribs, laughing their heads off with a rather ridiculous squeaky voice (because of the laughing gas) and Buck (the weasel with the eye-patch) says "They died laughing!" That made my day! =)

For those who seeks laughter in this day and age, I suggest you watch this movie. But, for those who either hates comedy or unable to grasp the jokes portrayed by the character, best to consider before watching this movie.

Rating: 4.9/5

Now, this blogger needs more sleep. Good night and stay tuned! =)

Champ's Damn Shiok Bistro Review

This one happened recently (I guess it was the same day I have registered myself in my college-to-be, which is last Saturday), rest assured! =)

Champ's Damn Shiok Bistro.......Where shall I start for this one?

The place is located at Centrepoint in Bandar Utama. For those who do not know where it is, it's somewhere around One Utama (Driving distance, that is). This bistro is famous for their local delicacies. For example, Hokkien Mee, Prawn Mee, etc.

I tried their Hokkien Mee, and I was surprised with their ingredient. Squid, big prawn, pork liver and even loads and loads of pork lard!!!

I happen to loath pork liver and pork lard, since it is filled with cholesterol and fat. But, my mum insists that I have to finish it. Okay, I tried to finish everything, and all that is left is the pork lard. I swear, it must have been a bowl full (The pork lard I mean).

Well, ingredients aside, it was tasty, but pricey. I think it was RM15.90 or was it RM9.90. Can someone confirm for me?

Rating: 4/5

Taste was unique, ingredients are aplenty, pork liver and lork lard, aplenty!! Those who like the 2 ingredients I loathed will like this dish.

This blogger is officially going to gain weight! =(

Movie Review: Angels and Demons

Let me be honest here. I have neither read the book nor do I even watch The Da Vinci Code. I didn't felt like watching it (The Da Vinci Code) at all.

So, when a few of my tuition mates (Oh yeah, I was in Kasturi Tuition Centre in 2005, for my SPM and I kind of met them there) suggested Angels and Demons, I hesitated. But, I guess I gave in, since I have not seen these people for a very long time.

The movie is about a symbologist name Professor Robert Langdon, who was summoned by the Vatican authorities to help them track down their archenemies, the Illuminati. The plot is kind of strange anyway, for me, that is.

The one thing I liked about this movie is suspense and the way they interpret things. Okay, I like mystery, but I am not too sure about the whole concept in Angels and Demons. Maybe I am not used to a movie based on Christianity.

The ending did not make sense to me, until Jean, a close friend of mine, told me about the book and the reasons behind his suicide (or something like that). Apart from that, it's alright.

To me, it is an interesting concept and a little mystery goes a long way. Unfortunately, they did not potray the ending that well, which left me confused and dazed on the antagonist's suicide. Why in the world did he kill himself??? The movie left a plot hole, for some odd reason.

Rating: 3/5

This is recommended for those who seeks mystery and suspense. I felt it would have been a good one, were it not for the ending plot hole.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop Movie Review

This one is also from the past. Will try to include all that I can think of, as much as I can. So sorry! >_<

Anyway, this movie is a comedy-romance type of movie. It's about a guy who works as a security guard in a mall. He meets a girl, falls in love, mall was hijacked by a few thieves (with lover in the mix of the hostages), and he will have to save the hostages from any harm.

Now, I was laughing all the way to the bank when I saw the whole movie. The plot seems light to me. Perhaps it is due to the fact that it is not complicated and straight to the point (with a few comedy punchline as well).

For a laugh, this movie is alright. But, if you are those who dislike the silliness of a comedy movie (I'm serious! I do meet people who just can't appreciate such things/disregard them as stupid), I do not recommend this movie to them. Too silly for their sake! =)

Rating: 4/5

On another note, this blogger is bored out of his mind!! Can someone save him from pure boredom? =(

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Movie Review

Alright people, I am so sorry for not updating this blog! Time flies, and I am kind of dazed from my own driving skill! =)

Anyway, when this movie came out (which was months ago! Sorry again peeps!), I was looking forward to this movie, considering the fact that I was curious on how Wolverine's life is like before X-Men anyway. The director was, surprisingly, Hugh Jackman, who stars as Wolverine, the main character. Imagine that! Wolverine direct Wolverine! Get it?

Well, in any case, the movie is full of action and suspense. It brought me to the edge of my seat. But, the plot could use a bit of work though.

By the way, according to local newspaper report, it seems that the movie was leaked to the Internet prior to the premire. Though I kind of anticipated this method (since not everyone has the financial means to watch the movie in the cinema), I was shocked that it was all over the local newspapers.

Well, although it is rectified by Hugh Jackman revealing about some extra stuff that you will never get in the Internet, the leaked information almost cost them their blockbuster earnings, if you know what I mean. This blogger wonders about how the movie industry will keep up with such activities. I will not discuss any further.

In a nutshell, I think it is a good movie, but, the plot could do some patching up. Let's just hope the sequel will be better.

Rating: 3.5/5

By the way, my favorite character is Deadpool. Why? Because he reminds me of myself! No, seriously! He talks a lot, but gets the job done. Oh, alright, I'm not really like him (the ending part I mean) but, he mostly reminds me of myself! =P
